Worlds should only be loaded when they are actually played to do this they should be in the InstalledWorlds folder (which means that they must be installed as a Sims3Pack so that they are referenced in the DCCache). It is not pretty, you will see a lot of gaping holes and floating trees. Which means that when you try to play a world, you will see a strange mish-mash of that world and the one in your Mods/Packages folder. Ok ill try and put it in the mods/packages folder,ĭon't put worlds into your Mods/Packages folder this will cause them to be loaded whenever your game is loaded. I really hate using the launcher and if I could also cut it out of the process of downloading worlds- both store and custom, it would be awesome. sims3pack world file, extract the package file from it that contains the "world" and place it in the game data folder as you've suggested? The issue, it would seem, is that the package file would still say. I'm wondering, would I be able to "unpack" a. It is a package file, just like saved sims are package files, but they have a space under my documents which world files don't and in fact packaged world files will only work in the game data files unless someone changed things. It is where the store worlds go also and work better than the sims 3 packs if you ask me.Īlso it is not a mod file. I have used packaged world files for some time. You just place that package file into that world folder and it is ready to play. The above are folders where the actual main files of the game are on your main drive, and you go to each one and open that folder until you get down to the one called Worlds. You can drop packaged files in a windows machine as follows:
